Life Is Beautiful.

This past week while Regan was in the hospital, I had the joy of watching Jayden for a few days. I thought I'd teach him a new trick...

This could sound really lame.

I almost hate to admit this, but then again, I really don't care. Today I realized one of the things I really miss about college: naps. Mostly the kind taken on uncomfortable futons, but all kinds of them really. I miss curling up in a blanket in the middle of a cold afternoon and turning on a movie you haven't seen in ages. I miss falling asleep to Oprah and having your roommate wake you up almost every single day for dinner at the DC (thanks roommate), and then walking around aimlessly trying to find something for dinner, still half asleep, everyone's faces a blur because you slept with your contacts in. I miss crawling back into bed after some crazy, early morning SAC event that had me up before the sun and done by 11am. I miss attempting to curl up on my office couch and slip in a 20 minute nap before my next class or meeting.
I'm not really sure what brought me to this realization, but for the past two weeks I have been ridiculously tired and have fallen asleep either on my couch or on my bed around 4pm, but it just isn't the same. I blame it on S.A.D., which my mom claims I don't have (or maybe she just doesn't think she needs to buy me a tanning package like I suggested to help me with my "disorder"), but either way, it's becoming a problem. I think I'm going to scrap enough money out of my budget this month for a tanning package either way, and hopefully it will solve my problem. If not, I'm open to other suggestions...like maybe getting my uncomfortable futon back from the townie who took it out of the dumpster just seconds after I put it in on move-out day.

My Weekend Plans

One thing you will rarely see me write about is politics. Now, before you go calling me an ignorant shushi and "you shouldn't even have the right to vote" and "as an American..." and all that jazz, hear me out. I hate debating politics. I believe that 95% of people who engage in debating political issues really like to hear themselves talk, have no interest in actually persuading their opponent, and are really just in it for the fight. So, that is why I will never blog about political matters- I would like to think I'm not one of those people.
With that being said, check this out:

I don't care if you hate her or if you love her, this is amazing! This corn maze is located about 30 minutes from my house, and my friends and I plan on attempting to make it through tonight.

Wish us luck!

This could ruin me.

My dad has recently become a huge fan of craigslist.com. (hip, huh?) I have only visited the site a few times...
before today.
I innocently enough began my quest for a gently used laptop (Old Faithful just doesn't have the same memory he used too...) by clicking "toledo" and "computers." After what seemed like an eternity, but really only a half hour, I realized the two great offers my dad showed me on Sunday night are gone, leaving me with only one semi-good lead. However, I then decided to browse the "free" section, thinking that my current economic status demands it. Darn, that computer desk (that I don't really need anyway because I won't be moving out anytime soon) was put out at the curb at 9am today. I then discovered the "best on craig's list" tab and oh my...I was laughing. However, my laughter quickly escalated as I found the personal ads. Never in my life have I had such a hilarious time browsing the Internet (except maybe homemade youtube dance videos).
Moral of the story: if you are ever feeling down, just visit the personal ads on craig's list. Who knows, you might even find true love! I won't guarantee that, but I will guarantee hours of entertainment.
(I feel I also should mention "browse wisely"...there are a lot of creepers out there...and creepers aren't funny.)

Chiquita is safe in my Honda.

Yesterday as I opened my most recent statement from my car insurance company, a memo was tucked in the envelope entitled "GOOD NEWS." I was hoping this meant something like they had accidentally charged me too much, and I was going to get a check for $400 or something, but sadly that wasn't the case.

So, the good news?

"Your policy now includes our new Pet Medical Coverage! We now cover the costs of medications, procedures prescribed by a Veterinarian, and much more if your cat or dog is injured in an accident when riding in a vehicle.

Thank you for choosing Auto-Owners InsuranceGroup, the SAFE. SOUND. SECURE. choice for all your insurance needs!"

Don't hate.

It seems as if more and more people have blogs these days. Since I tend to give in to peer pressure a lot, I decided to start one for all of my friends to read. However, I would like to make a disclaimer: you won't love everything you read. In fact, most days I will most likely tell you a random or useless fact about my life, and you might hate it and be mad and say "why doesn't she write something serious or profound or meaningful?" Well, all I can say is...I warned ya.
